Join our esteemed Construction team as a Construction Senior Project Manager, where you will take charge of all elements associated with significant capital construction projects. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including permitting, vendor procurement, contracting, and comprehensive construction management. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth project execution from initial planning to final turnover, driving success at every stage of the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Lead the management of project scope, timelines, and budgets to ensure the successful delivery of various projects, such as:
- Ground-up construction of data center facilities
- Redevelopment of existing structures into cutting-edge data centers
- Expansion of critical infrastructure within current premises
- Large fit-outs or retrofits to meet client specifications
- Construction Management: Oversee all phases of construction, including pre-construction planning, design development, competitive bidding, and project closeout.
- Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop solid business cases for project approvals and maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders, including vendors and internal departments.
- Vendor Procurement: Manage the entire RFP process, soliciting bids from contractors and vendors to ensure alignment with project requirements and budget.
- Commissioning Oversight: Supervise commissioning partners to guarantee thorough system testing and compliance with project specs, ensuring operational readiness.
- Turnover Management: Ensure the accurate turnover of data center infrastructure and project documentation to the operations team, facilitating a seamless transition.
- Integration Coordination: Work closely with Data Center Operations to integrate project deliverables effectively into the operational framework of the data center, addressing any potential challenges.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain and distribute comprehensive monthly project reports that track budget, schedule, and progress.
- Contract Management: Review contractor billings and oversee contract management, ensuring accurate project milestone verification.
- Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, applying insights gained throughout the project lifecycle to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Required Skills
- Proficiency in navigating a hybrid work environment, with a 40% on-site and 60% remote work balance.
- Strong experience managing construction projects, particularly in mission-critical environments.
- Thorough understanding of the entitlements process, permitting, and inspections.
- Familiarity with large mechanical and electrical systems installation and operation.
- Expertise in drafting RFPs and evaluating vendor proposals.
- High proficiency in tools such as BlueBeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving capabilities, able to collaborate with diverse teams effectively.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
- 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in construction project management.
- Required experience in managing CSA and MEP construction activities, with a strong preference for candidates with data center experience.

Compensation And Benefits
